Overlooking my window is a Singapore version of a sari-sari store. Well, mini grocery that is. But I still miss seeing a sari-sari store with benches outside -for those waiting for their change, smoking area after buying a stick or drinking area in the evening. Background sounds? Pedicabs and jeepneys and balut vendors.
