For everybody's information, Philippines also joins the global movement and call it 'Luntiang Lunes'.

Here's the sauteed crunchy veggies.

The veggies mixed with red beans plus celery for garnish.
Here's the recipe:
1/2 cup low sodium vegetable broth
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
4 carrots, sliced
2 bell peppers, chopped
4 celery stalks, chopped
2 cans red kidney beans
1 tablespoon Cajun spice seasoning
1 tablespoon hot sauce of your choice
1 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
2 cups brown rice, cooked according to package instructions

This is what old Singapore is. Explore the island.

Pulau Ubin is only a 10-minute boat ride from Changi Point Ferry Terminal. You may check here for more info. And here's the map of the island.

If you are on for cycling, then it's a good place. You may bring your own or rent for the whole day. Rental is as low as 2sgd. Ooops! No cycling pics. Everyone's busy. :D

The gang went lagoon kayaking as well. And fish spa, too. Not bad!

'Amazing Thailand'. True. It always amazes you!

The beaches are sooo beautiful. Koh Phi Phi Lei, Koh Phi Phi Don to name a few.

Crystal clear waters. Aaahh..

Do you know that this is where Leonardo Dicaprio's movie, The Beach, was shot?

Not only that. Phang Nga Bay was also the location for the James Bond movie, Tomorrow Never Dies. But the setting is Hanoi, Vietnam.

To add to that, Panyee Island was one of the locations for another James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. And of course, the famous Nail Island or now popularly known as James Bond Island.

I have to boast my hubby's shot of James Bond Island. Nice PP! During our day trip here, it was overcast and it's hard to take good photos.

Travel Thursday: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Never Miss Saigon. Yes, never miss this city used to be called, Saigon.

As described in Lonely Planet, Ho Chi Minh City is a metropolis on the move – and not just talking about the motorbikes that throng the streets. It is Vietnam at its most dizzying: a high-octane city of commerce and culture that has driven the whole country forward with its limitless energy.

Speaking of motorbikes...

Vietnam is also known for having one of the best coffees, spring rolls and Phở (beef noodle soup).
Of course, trip to Ho Chi Minh includes a little history review at Cu Chi Tunnels and the War Museum.

Any tourist will not miss Saigon's night life.
The Notre Dame Cathedral and the Main Post Office are two of the sights you will not want to miss taking photos of.

And this is my fave shot during the trip. The photos of rubber trees on our way to Cu Chi Tunnel.

Last year, I started a 52-week photo blog but stopped halfway. I was unbelievably busy due to wedding preparations. And sometimes, nothing special in a week so there were times I can't think of any good entry even if it's just random.

This may not be every week. My new theme is this:

Overlooking my window is a Singapore version of a sari-sari store. Well, mini grocery that is. But I still miss seeing a sari-sari store with benches outside -for those waiting for their change, smoking area after buying a stick or drinking area in the evening. Background sounds?
